CLEAN REGATTA
CISA has partnered up with Sailors for the Sea to make the 2013 CISA Clinic a Clean Regatta. Sailors will be expected to use reusable water bottles and filling stations on shore as well as in the coach boats to refill those bottles with to eliminate single use plastic bottles. Coach boats will have bags to collect trash each day. Recycling bins will be located in the boat park and clubhouse and sailors will be asked to monitor the boat park and marina for trash each day.

LOCATION
Alamitos Bay Yacht Club:
7201 East Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803

PROGRAM
The program will consist of lectures and on-the-water drills including tactics, strategy, sail trim, boatspeed, etc., together with information on what is important for developing a successful Olympic campaign. Coaches utilize daily video footage, archival footage, chalk talks, land demos and on-the-water exercises. A trainer is also brought in to work with the sailors on physical fitness routines and how to train their bodies to perform on the water. Nightly guest speakers and presentations round out the experience by showing the sailors what other avenues of sailing are available to them.

BOATS
CISA will not arrange for, transport, broker or be responsible for any charters. Invited I420 sailors will be offered a CISA I420 charter which comes with all parts necessary to sail however; participants should plan on bringing a basic toolkit of spare parts, lines, a loos gauge and a tuning guide.

DETAILS / LOGISTICS
Sailors are responsible for their own transportation to/from the clinic. An attempt will be made to house all out of town sailors with local families. Participants should bring clothes to work out in, we have a personal trainer coming in to work with the sailors and there will be daily high level workouts. Not having appropriate shoes/clothes is not an excuse to miss the workout.

The acceptance list will be posted on/around March 1st. It will be announced on our Facebook and twitter feeds. Sailors must submit the $500 (per sailor) clinic registration fee and all forms (Medical Release, Liability Release and Media Release) by February 5th. Sailors that are selected and decline their spot after March 15th will forfeit half of their clinic fee. Sailors that are selected and decline their sport after April 1st will forfeit their entire clinic fee.

Accepted sailors should plan to fly into Los Angeles International (LAX), Long Beach(LGB) or Santa Ana/Orange County (SNA) on the afternoon of April 12 and fly home after 7pm on April 16. LGB is the closest airport to the clinic venue (Jet Blue is a major carrier into LGB), SNA is close to the housing in Newport Beach and LAX is the furthest away but will likely have the most flight options.

Sailors in the I420 fleet may want to consider arriving on early enough on the 12th to start prepping their boat. Coaches will be available to assist I420 sailors on the 12th. All sailors must be off property by 5pm on the 12th.
